– Summary of Priorities

Key Priorities

  • To embed and implement a progressive approach to the teaching of core mathematical skills to ensure that all pupils are supported to become confident mathematicians.

  • To improve outcomes in writing and ensure high quality writing opportunities in a range of subjects.

  • To improve quality of pupils’ reading response and understanding of a range of quality literature.

  • To continue to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum.

  • To ensure the curriculum is ambitious and accessible for all pupils, including disadvantaged pupils, lower ability and pupils with SEND.

  • To further develop relationships and support for pupils through a trauma informed approach.

  • To improve the quality of play during break and lunchtimes.

  • To secure good attendance across the school.

  • To further develop confidence and leadership of foundation subjects.

  • To provide a high quality CPD programme bespoke to needs of the school and the staff.

  • To ensure all children in EYFS have access to a broad and varied curriculum in order to stretch and support throughout their time in Foundation Stage.

  • To consider the changing needs of our parents and the part they play in supporting the education of their children.

  • To continue to develop the involvement and opportunities for parents, families and wider community in school life.
