After working here at Appleton for 32 years, this Friday, Mrs Buttery will say her final farewell. She will be greatly missed by staff, pupils, parents and all of those people she has helped over the years. We wish her all the very best and hope she enjoys her retirement.

To mark the occasion, a picnic was held last Friday for all of the children.
Logan Anderson (year 5) recounts the afternoon below:

It was extremely good fun!  The food was scrummy, the bouncy castles (which were always in use, except when we were eating!) were awesome and Mrs Buttery was really happy.  Miss Purkins played lots of songs and we danced to them.  At one point, everybody did the conga led by Mrs Langton!  Just before we left school for the day, we had a presentation for Mrs Buttery and then everybody ate the delicious buns we had decorated.  Finally, everybody went home.  Hopefully Mrs Buttery had a wonderful day!

We also said goodbye to our Year 6.  We wish them all the very best as they move on to their secondary schools.
