A massive well done to Class JS who performed for us last week showing off everything they have learned this year with Mr Crowther during wider opportunities. It never ceases to amaze the staff how much progress our pupils make in such a short time. The children sounded amazing and very different to how they [...]
What fun we had travelling through time! We dressed up and learnt about the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. The day culminated with a disco from our era. We had a groovy time.
On Thursday, our school council organised a non uniform day to raise money for the Sick Children's Trust. Each child donated £1 for coming to school in every day clothes. The school council organised a raffle and a book collection for the hospital book shop. We are very proud to announce that we raised a total of [...]
The school is very proud to have been awarded the QM award for the 7th time - quite an achievement! It is lovely to see you all in school learning new things; playing with your friends and setting a fantastic example to the rest of the [...]
What a wonderful day we have had here at Appleton dressed in our pyjamas and snuggling up with a good book!
Our lucky Y5/6 pupils were invited to attend an exhibition at Driffield Showground today. The children were learning how science and technology help us to produce food. They also had the opportunity to talk to people who work in agriculture, watch demonstrations and see some animals that are reared on farms. What a fantastic day!
Congratulations to all of our reading stars this half-term!
We all had a "royal" time last week as we celebrated the wedding of the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Our pupils found out about weddings, baked biscuits and some of our children even got "married" themselves! What an exciting day!
