Home Learning – Year 1

Before the school closed, the children in Y1 were given sunflower seeds to grow.

We were amazed this week to receive this from Elsie who has really looked after her seed, caring for it all of this time until it grew into an amazing sunflower!

Well done Elsie, we absolutely love your sunflower!

We would like to say a huge well done to all of our children for the hard work they have done – you have done us proud!

Thank you too, to all of our parents and carers  for the support you have given them.

We look forward to welcoming you all back in September.

Welcome to the home learning page for our Year 1 pupils.

You will find links to useful websites with interactive games and educational resources.

We will also be providing a weekly home learning pack that your child can access and complete.

Welcome to the Twinkl Home Learning Hub:

Each day you’ll find a new set of daily activities to get involved with. The qualified Twinkl teachers will provide book readings, live lessons, positive news updates, drawing classes and so much more.

They’ll also bring you activities from their partners to help fill your days and provide some much-needed variety. Activities will be listed the day before – giving you enough time to get prepped and set up for the next day’s learning.

Use this area however it suits. We’re not suggesting a rigid timetable or recreating the school day at home but if you’re looking for ideas, or a way of adding a bit of routine into your day, you’ll find it here.
